Are You A Hairdresser Or A Hairstylist - Career Guide

By Toni Moretti

First thing one needs to know while being a hairdresser, is that this is perhaps the most ancient of all human professions. Without barbers revolutions would not had happened. When men and women wore nothing , they still had their hair. And whatever hair they wore, they sure had a style. So hair is the earliest fashion trip anyone ever had, and there is no shame in being called a barber. Although, ?hairstylist? or ? hairdresser? are not sophisticated terms either, they are simple as a barber.

Now, to be the best barber-- firstly, there are three ?p?s and the other tricks that does not start with the alphabet ?p?. The three p?s are poetry, patience and precision. Hairdressing is a feminine thing. There is poetry in it. The way a girl keeps her hair reflects the way she is. And if the hairdresser can feel this vibe then the best part is already done. A hairdresser has to be patient .She has to listen to what the other person is saying, or in what way the client wants to see herself( or what is the silhouette that a designer wants, in that case). This is a very crucial part. One has to be very careful.

And that is how ,we come to the third p??precision?. A hairdresser must be very careful. She has to be precise with the precious strands that she is dealing with. Hair must must be dealt with a lot of care. A hairstyling gone wrong is probably the most awful thing to happen to anyone. A wardrobe malfunction or a wrong make-up can still be managed, but hair gone wrong is most difficult to agree with.

The next most important part is understanding the nature of hair. Hairs can be curly, wavy, frizzy or straight. A hairdresser has to judge the quality of hair; is it oily or dry ? How much dampness it can retain? What is the texture of the hair ? and so on.. These are important as the hairdressing technique varies with the nature of the hair. A hairdresser must also know about the tools of the trade. She has to know instinctively which platinum scissor to pick? Which part of the hair is to be cut when dry and which part is to be cut while wet ?when to use clips? or, what is the perfect angle of holding the hair blower over the head?

Also, the best hairdresser must have knowledge about the art .She has to learn the use of wigs ,ribbons , glitters, colours and gels. She has to understand the difference between a balzo and a snood, the curl and the braid . She must know why a cornrow is a cornrow and why people in 18th century wore hairs as high as a nest. Without hairs, everyone is a roundhead. It is hairs that make a person famous.

Get GCSE Maths Help And Don't Become A Bad Mathematics Joke

By Luke Redding

Bad math's jokes, like physics jokes are found all over the place, get GCSE maths help if you don't one to end up being a joke. Like the teacher who asked the pupil "what's 7 times 6" and he replied "42", then she said "ok, good, now what's 6 time 7?" and he replied "24!"

Did you know that during the past 20 years girls have been beating boys in the UK in terms of GCSE mathematics exams? But apparently this is all set to change as a move to drop coursework starts taking effect. This has already happened in some areas and in one year, boys have managed to leapfrog their female GCSE counterparts.

By next year, coursework is going to be dropped countrywide, and girls are going to have a job on their hands keep in up with GCSE boys. Already the dropping of coursework has seen record breaking results being achieved by the lads according to the Guardian. Girls are rapidly obtaining less of the best marks and they may need to get help with their math's.

Instead of coursework, "controlled assessment" is being introduced. The dividing factor is that girls are more organized and they work consistently but boys are lazier and they prefer to study like mad just before an exam comes up. As apposed to coursework, controlled assessment is extended tasks which are undertaken in an exam setting. If you are wondering why coursework is being replaced, it is because of concerns regarding plagiarism. The changes are set to make significant impacts on the gender gap in education and it is even thought that girls will have an unfair disadvantage.

This year is the first time since 1997 that boys are doing better at GCSE mathematics than girls. The speculation is that this is definitely attributable to the removal of coursework from exam results. The soft skills required by coursework, such as sticking to deadlines and planning is better managed by girls and this has also given them the advantage in terms of marks, because marks were given for soft skills.

GCSE math's help is easy to find online, as is help for many other subjects. This is 6th form material with easily understood articles and tutorials which concentrate on all the math's problems which may be expected to come up in an exam setting. They cover homework, revision and other essentials to assist in this learning process.

Please not that help for GCSE math's should not only be undertaken by girls in the scramble to increase their marks over the boys again, boys could also use the help.

Your tutorials should be aimed at specific problems that may or may come up, and need to be approached in such as way that they can be referred back to if you are struggling with a particular problem or for revision.

It needs to be a flexible course where you are able to ask as many questions as you like to cover the matter at hand and ensure you fully understand the processes. The course material should make good use of practice exam questions too.

Help is easily available, and you are not alone, students all over the world only really do well if they are give extra math's tutoring. Particularly if they are in the higher forms, mathematics is not generally an easy subject but with careful tutoring a difference can be made to your marks.

Top 3 Best Underwater Camera: Review

By Patrik G. Moore

Cameras had reached new horizons and depth in the field of photography. It has evolved enormously catering to consumer demands and desires. To date, the cameras do not only do photos but videos as well with varying depths, resolutions and image sizes. To our surprise, there are already underwater cameras ready to restore our water related memories. This has totally revolutionized cameras and by far extends what they can normally do.

Since the initial company release to disclose their own underwater camera, camera giants and their counterparts have made their own as well. Each year countless underwater cameras have been added, changed or improved to make better ones. In fact, if you Google search for a specific water proof camera it will display over a million hits with hundreds of brands. With that, I went up to solve a dilemma of many consumers and present the top three for easier choosing. Let me give you these underwater cameras and see what they can do and what they have.

The first on our list would be the SeaLife DC1000. This brand has carved its niche in underwater photography and since then has been setting high standards specifically specializing water based cams. The magical thing about this latest installment of SeaLife is how it brings vibrant color into play. Some specifications making this our first underwater camera includes 10-megapixel sharp, high resolution images, a large 2.7" LCD screen, up to 200 feet of depth, 5X optical and digital zoom, 4 UW color correction settings perfect for shallow and deep depths, auto mode for automatic exposure settings, snorkel and spy modes, user friendly buttons and options and different land and sea modes. You can even buy additional accessories to enhance your photography experience.

The second underwater camera that I would suggest for camera enthusiasts would be the Canon Powershot D10. This is the first waterproof camera under the said brand giant. This contains 12.1-megapixel and can cater up to 10 meters of water depth. In addition, this is even shockproof and freeze proof catering up to -10oC. It allows up to 3X optical zoom, smart auto mode with scene detection, image stabiliser, motion and face detection with self timer and auto red-eye correction. Furthermore, it allows a range of shooting and special underwater scene modes.

Third on our list, and certainly not the last is the Olympus Stylus TOUGH-8000. This contains 12-megapixel with 3.6X wide zoom lenses. The top lens starts in 28mm and ends at 102mm. This line of camera is shockproof to 2m, waterproof to 10m, crushproof up to 100kg in weight and freeze proof until -10oC. Other specifications included are its wonderful TAP control menu for convenience, face detection, intelligent auto mode that adjusts settings, focus and exposure, air and pressure information of the water that can be easily seen on the camera's screen, LED illuminator for lighting and some macro and landscape movie and sound recording.

These underwater cameras are perhaps the best there is today, according to their specifications and quality of underwater images. So if you happened to seek an underwater camera, it would be better to check on these firsts in your local retail stores and I am sure this suits what you want and your budget too. So have fun in the water with these top underwater cameras making your memories more exciting and convenient.

The Jackpot: Un-contemporary, little comedy, uplifted by megastars. Stewart is the winner of a stereo competition although couldn't pay the levies on the winnings. Cast includes James Stewart, Barbara Hale, James Gleason, Fred Clark, and Natalie Wood. (87 minutes, 1960)

The Gorilla: Disheartening comedy whodunit with the Ritz Brothers as fumbling investigators prowling around old shady home looking for a murderer. Cast includes The Ritz Brothers, Anita Louise, Patsy Kelly, Lionel Atwill, Bela Lugosi, and Joseph Calleia. (66 minutes, 1939)

The Dunwich Horror: Adaptation of H. P. Lovecraft's tale in regards to wizard Stockwell's malevolent plans for lady friend Dee. The movie is often powerful, although the ending spoils the entire film. Cast includes Sandra Dee, Dean Stockwell, Ed Begley, Sam Jaffe, Lloyd Bochner, Joanna Moore, and Talia Coppola. (90 minutes, 1970)

Gun the Man Down: Injured outlaw avows retribution on cohorts who left him in the middle of a stickup gone badly. Cast includes James Arness, Angie Dickinson, Robert Wilke, and Emile Meyer. (78 minutes, 1956)

MacArthur: Intense, look at the legend of the elaborate military chief throughout WW2 and Korean Battle. Peck is phenomenal although film doesn't hold the punch of Patton. Cast includes Gregory Peck, Dan O'Herlihy, Ed Flanders, Sandy Kenyon, Dick O'Neill, and Craft Fleming. (130 minutes, 1977)

Pajama Party: Fourth beach party film moves inside, changes director and megastar (albeit Frankie Avalon and Don Rickles do have cameos). Kirk plays an alien adolescent who drops in and is understandably confused. Just fair, albeit it's unconditionally fine to see Keaton at work. Cast includes Tommy Kirk, Annette Funicello, Dorothy Lamour, Elsa Lanchester, Harvey Lembeck, Jody McCrea, Buster Keaton, Susan Hart, and Donna Loren. (85 minutes, 1984)

Foxes: Foxes is about 4 teenaged gals try dealing with the normal not in our town complications carried by growing up in San Fernando Valley. Adept cast and evidently genuine motives are sabotaged by rough storyline that just isn't gripping enough. Cast includes Jodie Foster, Cherie Currie, Marilyn Kagan, Kandice Stroh, Scott Baio, Sally Kellerman, Randy Quaid, and Lois Smith. (106 minutes, 1980)

Bleak Moments: Leigh's directing debut characteristic is a strong, intensely human drama, which charts the plight of a desolate office worker (Raitt) who looks after her retarded sibling and wishes that her relation with a schoolteacher can develop into to matrimony. Cast includes Anne Raitt, Sarah Stephenson, Eric Allan, Julia Cappleman, Mike Bradwell, and Liz Smith. (111 minutes, 1971)

Almost any film you can think of can be downloaded from a site online. As we said before, search with "Buy Movie Download", or "Download films Online" to find good information on downloading. If neither of those work use "Online Movies To Watch".
